Rosa Note – our choir
Since 1991 Rosa Note, Stuttgart’s gay men choir, has been captivating entertaining their German and European audiences with a refreshing mix of songs and cabaret. We present our programs with self-written, self-ironic lyrics and energetic choreographies. Our extensive repertoire consists of songs from various genres including rock, pop, jazz, chanson, musical, folklore and even classical music.
We have developed our own special style on stage with we call choral cabaret.
We have concerts and performances several times a year including festivals in Germany und Europe and the Stuttgart gay pride parade. We’re also prepared to sing for special occasions, such as anniversaries, ceremonies, memorial services, birthdays or church services.
Our commitment to social issues is very important to us. Rosa Note is one of the founding members of Weissenburg e.V, the umbrella organization of all lgbt organizations in Stuttgart. Furthermore, we regularly perform at events relating to gay and lesbian politics or history, at church services or at events organized by the Stuttgart AIDS help organization.
Rosa Note is well connected in Stuttgart’s gay community. We work closely together with the IG-CSD, Stuttgart’s gay pride organization, the gay sports club ABSEITZ, the self-help-group IHS and many other organizations.
We are members of LEGATO,
the umbrella organization for European gay and lesbian choirs, as well as the Schwäbischer Chorverband and Wilhelm Hauff Chorverband Stuttgart.
